FIRST AID TRAINING COURSES
At Safeco, we offer a wide range of First Aid Training Courses. All of our First Aid Courses are fully certified by Qualtec who are a recognised institute (RI) of PHECC and are available to businesses and individuals.
First Aid is the initial assistance given to a victim of injury or illness which, if needed, can be followed by professional help and hospitalisation. You don’t have to be a medical professional to give first aid to a casualty. At Safeco, we know from personal experience that the right First Aid treatment can make the difference between life and death. That is why we encourage as many people as possible to attend one of our First Aid Courses.

Cardiac First Responder Training Course
Our Cardiac First Responder (CFR) Training Course is a PHECC recognised First Aid course. This course is designed to provide the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Course Contents:
This course is 3 and a half hours long and each participant receives a PHECC Certificate which is valid for two years. We also run CFR Refresher Courses. A refresher course is required every two years in order for your certificate to remain valid.
First Aid Responder Training Course
Previously known as Occupational First Aid, First Aid Responder (FAR) covers all First Aid requirements for workplaces as outlined by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA). Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, there is a requirement on employers, based on a risk assessment, to have a sufficient number of adequately trained First Aid Responders in the workplace.
At Safeco, our FAR course incorporates Cardiac First Responder as standard. In addition to CFR skills, the First Aid Responder possesses defined skills in the further management of a patient who has become suddenly ill or injured in the pre-hospital environment until the arrival of emergency medical services.

Course Contents:
The FAR course is carried out over three days. These can be completed consecutively or spread out over the course of over a number of weeks. Upon completion, each participant is awarded a PHECC certificate which is valid for two years. We also run FAR Refresher Courses. A refresher course is required every two years in order for your certificate to remain valid.
